We respect your right to privacy and keep all your health information confidential and secure. It is important that the NHS keeps accurate and up-to-date records about your health and treatment so that those treating you can give you the best possible care.
This information may be used for management and audit purposes. However, it is usually only available to, and used by, those involved in your care.
Our receptionists will try to guide you and you may be asked to give some detail when requesting an appointment. It is very helpful if you are able to give them some idea of the problem so they can try to ensure you see the most appropriate clinician and are given a suitable time slot. Please be aware that ALL staff at the practice are bound by confidentiality, and nothing that is seen, heard or discussed can be repeated outside the surgery. Any breach of this policy would result in instant dismissal.
You have the right to know what information we hold about you. If you would like to see your records, please call our business manager on 01449 678333. You also have the right to withhold your clinical information from IT systems used by the wider-NHS. If you would like more information please ask your doctor or ask our Reception staff for more information.
